The Kiwanis of Livingston is proud to present an exciting award aimed specifically toward the youth of Livingston.
In March 2010, one deserving youth, high school senior or under, will be awarded the 4th Annual Kiwanis Club of Livingston Youth of the Year Award in Memory of John P. Collins. The recipient of this award must have made a special contribution or must have performed an act that has enhanced the quality of life within the community. An example of such a contribution includes, but is not limited to extensive volunteer work within a charitable organization or an act, such as the saving of another's life or befriending an elderly person in need and helping them by running errands, cooking meals, etc.
At a special ceremony, the recipient will receive a plaque or framed certificate commemorating this honor, as well as be allocated funds to be donated to the charity of his/her choice upon approval by the committee. This special honor will be given to this year’s recipient at The Kiwanis Club of Livingston’s 80th Charter Night which will take place on Friday, March 19, 2010.
Livingston residents who are high school seniors and under are eligible and must be nominated by someone other than themselves. This nomination must be verified and substantiated.
