The Livingston VFW Post 2856 has announced that Koby Omansky of Kent Place School is the New Jersey state winner of the Voice of Democracy audio-essay contest. Entries for the contest began at the post level. Omansky's essay was chosen by the Livingston post and submitted to the state competition. She will now go on to the national finals to be held in February in Washington, D.C. The theme of this year's competition is "Is There Pride in Serving in Our Military?"
