A total of $4,083,089 was awarded to 16 municipalities and County programs in the Essex County consortium and 40 non-profit community organizations through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Grant funding will be used to repave roadways, improve handicapped accessibility at public buildings and transportation sites, upgrade sidewalks and develop recreation facilities.
The Township of Livingston received $62,000 for barrier free improvements to the Monmouth Court Community Center.
