The Livingston Chapter of UNICO will team with the Orange-West Orange Chapter to present the latter's 27th annual carnival from May 11 through 15. Each spring for the past 27 years, the Orange-West Orange chapter of the service organization has sponsored a carnival in West Orange, with all proceeds going toward scholarships or given to local charities, including the First Aid Squad, the Occupational Center, and the Mayor's Council for the Disabled, mental health agencies, and other worthy charities.
This year, a new venue had to be found for the carnival, and with the help of the Livingston Chapter, the carnival will be held in the rear parking lot of the Livingston Mall, on the corner of South Orange Avenue. The event will feature food and vendors, with rides for all ages provided by McCafferty Enterprises of Wayne. Proceeds will be distributed to local charities in both service areas.
