Jeramy Elkaim, who recently won the Group IV State Championship in the 3200 meter (two mile) running a blazing 9:12.20, followed that performance a week later by recording one of the fastest times in the United States at the Meet of Champions where he finished second in a loaded field with a time of 9:00.95.
Elkaim finished in an “A standard” time, which qualified him to represent Livingston at the National Scholastic Indoor Track and Field Championship on Sunday, March 14. The 2010 Championships are being held at the 168th Street Armory in New York City and the two mile event is scheduled to go off at 1:45 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early, as parking is at a premium during the National Championship.
