The Livingston Public Library is sponsoring a blood drive in conjunction with the Blood Center of New Jersey on Monday, February 13, from 2 to 6:30 p.m.
This drive is being held in an effort to meet the urgency of the community’s increasing need for blood. "Please come out to donate so the blood will be there for the patients who require life saving transfusions," said Amy Hyfler, assistant director of the Livingston Public Library.

The Lancer indoor track team had an abundance of strong performances in the jumping and throwing events while competing at the Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) Field Events Invitational at the Rothman Center in Teaneck on Thursday, January 26. In the first game of two this week, the Livingston High School ice hockey team wore lots of pink to raise awareness about breast cancer. The Lancers, which sponsored the Skate For the Cure at Codey Arena, wore pink laces in their skates and pink tape on their sticks but were unable to bring home a victory over Millburn on the special day. Livingston firefighters answered dozens of calls related to a massive power surge in the early hours of Tuesday morning, January 24.

As a freshman, Brad Krosser took home the third place plaque from the Essex County wrestling tournament. During his sophomore campaign, he moved up a step and earned second place. This year, Krosser was determined to complete his collection with a championship at 152 pounds. Krosser's teammate, Jason Estevez, also has experience standing atop the pedestal in West Orange.
