ABOUT US:

The Livingston Municipal Alliance Committee is...
A nonprofit committee appointed by the Town Council to conduct an assessment of the community's needs regarding alcohol and other drug problems; to identify existing efforts and services acting to reduce this problem; coordinate projects within the municipality to avoid fragmentation and duplication; to develop programs to be implemented at the municipal level to prevent alcohol and other drug problems and to assist the municipality in acquiring funds for Alliance programs. The LMAC has wide representation from the community, including Township Council, Board of Education, schools, businesses, PTA's, police, clergy, youth, parents, services, clubs, and interested citizens. 

MISSION STATEMENT
LMAC’s mission is to focus on the prevention of the illegal use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs in the home, school, and community.
LMAC believes that such prevention must be based on committed grassroots involvement. Successful national and state prevention efforts build on this local foundation where community values are clarified and drug free, healthy lifestyles are promoted.

LMAC has taken the leadership in developing and supporting over 30 prevention programs and projects which are designed to educate and mobilize our entire community towards working together to create healthier lifestyles.Together we can make a difference!!
