About Us

The League of Women Voters of Livingston is a non-partisan political organization, which encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, and works to increase understanding of major public policy issues through education and advocacy.

Some of our activities include:

Voter Registration around the community
Sponsoring, organizing and conducting Candidate Nights
Distributing fact sheets on candidates & State Ballot questions
Studying State and Local issues

Membership is open to anyone (women and men) interested in supporting the mission and purpose of the LWV. Individual membership dues are $60 and $90 for two people from the same household (residing in the same address). Student memberships are $30 per person. The funds raised from our annual finance drive, super market gift cards and the Entertainment® Book along with donations made by many of our local members in addition to their annual dues payment work to cover our local operating expenses.

Your membership and participation are essential to our chapter’s vitality and we hope you will join us in “making a difference” in our community and enjoying our meetings and speakers presentations. With your help, we can achieve our goals and programs for the forthcoming year!
