In 1991, Carol Berman became a certified sommelier through The Sommelier Society of America, and with wine education as a focus, sold wine in wholesale and retail for many years, both in New York and New Jersey.
As founder of Class in a Glass®/The Traveling Sommelier, her passion as a wine educator was born. Class in a Glass® specializes in spreading the joys of wine through in-home wine classes, Edu-parties, corporate events, fund-raiser and benefits. Her “Take-home Sommelier” in-home wine dinners have also become quite popular. |

From October 1999 until the summer of 2004, Carol was a regular feature on "Food Talk" with Arthur Schwartz, Radio 710 WOR, presenting her "Wine Buy of the Week" segment. Currently, Carol is a regular monthly featured guest on Martha Stewart Living Radio’s “Living Today” with Mario Bosquez, Sirius/XM Radio, where her Class in a Glass® wine segment is heard nationally. |
Carol has also appeared on CBS 2 Television. Carol’s wine articles have been published in numerous magazines, and Class in a Glass® has been featured in the following magazines: "Time Out New York", "Quest", "New Jersey Savvy Living Magazine, “The Wine Enthusiast” and “The New York Times."
