• The Livingston High School boys' varsity track team traveled to Woodman Field in Montclair on Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21, to compete against all of the teams in Essex County for the individual championships in track and field.
• The Essex County Boys' Singles Tennis Championships were held Monday, May 30, in Branch Brook Park in Newark. Ari Smolyar of Livingston, a student at Golda Och School, defeated defending champion Thomas Caputo of Livingston, 6-2, 6-2.
• Livingston High School sophomore golfer Zach Stark shot a 74 at the Tournament of Champions at Neshanic Valley Golf Course on Tuesday, May 17, to finish ninth out of 132 of the best high school golfers in the state. After a two-hole play-off, he placed second in all of Group IV. In other action, the LHS golf team defeated Montcliar Kimberely Academy and Morris Knolls twice each to raise the Lancer record to 16-2.
• The Livingston High School freshman baseball team lost its final game of the season to New Providence on Friday, May 27, by a score of 4-3.
• A mandatory parents' meeting for the Aquajets swim team, sponsored by Livingston Senior, Youth and Leisure Services (SYLS), will take place on Wednesday, June 8, at 7 a.m. at the Hillside Avenue community center. All parents with children participating in the program are required to attend.
• The Livingston High School boys' varsity volleyball team advanced to the semi-finals of the North 2 section of the State Tournament by defeating Harrison on Wednesday, May 25, by a 2-0 match score. This marked the second meeting by the two teams within a week. The win improves the Lancers' record to 22-5.
• The Livingston High School boys' tennis team won its first Group IV State Championship since 2002 and its seventh overall with wins over Eastern and West Windsor Plainsboro South High Schools at Mercer County Park. Prior to that, the Lancers captured the North Jersey 1, Group IV Sectional Championship with a thrilling 3-2 win against Morris Knolls. The team completed its Super Essex Conference season defeating Seton Hall Prep. The team has a 34-0 record, 14-0 in the conference.
• The Livingston High School varsity baseball team defeated the Cougars, 9-2, on the Oval. In other play, the Lancers defeated Randolph, 13-5, in the quarter-finals of the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 4 Tournament.
• The Livingston Dodgers of the U.S. Over Thirty Baseball League, mid-week division, opened its 2011 season with a 13-4 win over the Morris Braves on Wednesday, May 25, at Okner Field in Livingston.
