I am such a bad froup founder...I have not been here much...great pattern, The Great Frame Up! I love it! I hope the person you gave it to like it. I don't knit much during the summer. I see knitting as more of a winter activity when I am stuck indoors more.

I finally finished my baby blanket!

Unfortunately, the only pics I have are from my BlackBerry, because, as luck would have it, I had a baby shower to go to this past Sunday. The good news is that I had started my blanket with no recipient in mind, so I was lucky to have almost completely finished my blanket by the time I received the invitation. The bad news is that I am a procrastinator and I finished my blanket at about 11:30pm Saturday...

I made up the pattern myself...very simple. Cast on 80 stitches. Do 4 rows of garter stitch and then do the following rows in stockinette, except for the first four stitches and the last four stitches of each row which you should do in garter. Then the final 4 rows of the blanket do in garter stitch.

I used size 17 US needles. You can make the blanket as long as you want, but mine ended up being about 36x30-ish. I used 3 skeins of red heart Baby Clouds yarn.

I am working on a baby blanket...will post a photo soon once I am done. I have other things I am working on, but I am looking for ideas for super-beginner Christmas and holiday gifts...
